Mitchell Johnson - He did the star turn when the Aussies toured for the test series last season. He has lethal slingers along with an ability of wielding of the willow to good effect. This tourney may well turn out to be the ideal platform for the all-rounder Mitchell Johnson.

Callum Ferguson- The find of the tourney in England ODIs as he batted superbly and has cemented his place in the new look Aussie middle order now. Looks very composed with the bat and can turn it on in the latter part of the innings. Batted admirably well to make up for an out of form Hussey and rested Ponting.

- The scene of Brett Lee charging in blowing the opposition off with his pace and accuracy turned into reality with the English at the receiving end at Lords. This man is not finished and he will mean business in this huge tournament.
